MNS: Monday Night Scouts

Scouts · Mondays · 8:00–9:30 pm · Ages 12–15 · Den in Ballinteer, Dublin 16

Welcome to MNS

Monday Night Scouts is one of two Scout troops at 115th Ballinteer, with 24 members aged 12–15.

Scouts is where the real outdoor adventure begins. The later start time means Monday nights can dig into longer activities: patrol work, bushcraft, map and compass skills, first aid and planning for camps. Being right on the foothills of the Dublin Mountains means hikes and night walks are a regular part of the programme.

Leaders

MNS is led by James (Section Leader), Dee C, Katherine, Ed and Una. For any questions, speak to a leader at drop-off or collection, or see group contact.

What we get up to

Monday nights cover patrol activities, badge work, skills training and planning for camps and expeditions. Out of the den, Scouts hike the Dublin Mountains, do night walks to places like the Hell Fire Club, and go on multi-day camps that members help to organise themselves.
