FNB: Friday Night Beavers

Beavers · Fridays · 6:30–7:30 pm · Ages 6–8 · Den in Ballinteer, Dublin 16

Welcome to FNB

Friday Night Beavers is one of two Beaver colonies at 115th Ballinteer, with 24 young members aged 6–8.

FNB is a great option for families who prefer the end of the school week. The same Beaver programme runs on Fridays as Wednesdays: games, badge work, crafts, outdoor activities and plenty of fun. The leaders are all former Scouts themselves and bring that experience to every session.

Leaders

FNB is led by Susan (Section Leader), Jack, Dermot and Harry. All are former Scouts, so they know exactly what makes a good Friday night. For questions, speak to a leader at drop-off or see group contact.

What we get up to

A typical Friday evening follows the Beaver programme: roll call, a game, badge work, another game and a short activity such as crafts, cooking or something outdoors. Activities include hikes in the Dublin Mountains, seasonal parties, outdoor challenges, badge work and the occasional den sleepover. Beavers also take part in the Group Camp alongside all other sections.

Uniform and what to bring

Beavers wear the Scouting Ireland Beaver jumper (turquoise) with the 115th Ballinteer necker and woggle. See the uniform guide for links to buy, and ask about the uniform recycling scheme for second-hand items. Bring a water bottle every week.
