115th Ballinteer’s den is available for overnight hire by other Scout groups in Scouting Ireland. A great base while you explore Dublin and the Dublin Mountains.
Location
We’re in Ballinteer, Dublin 16, on the foothills of the Dublin Mountains:
- M50: about 5 minutes from junction 13, easy access for vans and minibuses.
- Marlay Park: about a 5-minute walk.
- Larch Hill (Scouting Ireland’s national campsite): about a 40-minute walk.
- Dublin Mountains: Hell Fire Club, Ticknock and other trailheads within walking distance for day hikes.
- Dundrum Town Centre: about 10 minutes’ walk for food, shops and buses.
- SuperValu and Lidl across the road for supplies.
- Buses to the city centre and Dún Laoghaire for day trips without driving.
A practical hub for meetings, kit storage, cooking and sleeping between mountain days.
