This website is run by 115th Ballinteer Scout Group, part of Scouting Ireland. We take your privacy seriously, especially because many of our members are children.
What information we collect
Join form
When you submit the Join form, we collect the name, age and contact details of the young person and their parent or guardian. This is an expression of interest only. The information is seen solely by group leaders and is used to assess whether a place is available. It is not passed to any third party. If a place is offered and accepted, official registration with Scouting Ireland is completed separately at that stage.
Den hire enquiry form
When you enquire about hiring the den, we collect your name and contact details. This information is used only to respond to your enquiry.
Email contact
If you email us directly, we will use your email address only to reply to your message.
Third-party services on this site
Google Maps
Our Contact page includes an embedded Google Maps map showing the location of our den. When that page loads, your browser connects to Google's servers to display the map. Google may process your IP address as part of this. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Google Calendar
Our Hire the Den page includes an embedded Google Calendar showing availability. The same applies: your browser connects to Google's servers when that page loads. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
JotForm
Our Join and Den Hire forms are provided by JotForm. When you submit a form, your data is processed by JotForm on our behalf. JotForm is GDPR compliant. See JotForm's Privacy Policy for details.
Fonts and analytics
This website uses self-hosted fonts. No font requests are made to Google or any other external service. This site does not use any analytics or tracking software. No cookies are set by this website.
Photos
Photos published on this site have been selected to avoid identifying children. Historical photos on the History page show adult leaders and public figures at official Scouting events. If you have a concern about a photo, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

115th Ballinteer Scout Group is the data controller for this website. If you have any questions about your data, email us at ballinteer115scouts@gmail.com.
The Join form on this site is an initial expression of interest only. Details submitted are seen only by group leaders and are used to assess whether a place is available. If a place is offered and accepted, official membership registration with Scouting Ireland is completed separately at that stage, under Scouting Ireland's own data processes.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at ballinteer115scouts@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission.
